#1 Youth detached team Filming

Last night we went to Penzance to shadow the youth detached team from PCDT.  We were really excited about what the night might bring and knew it would challenge our filming skills – being on the move and filming in night light.

Our aim was to meet a group of young people the team have established a relationship with and to see what they get up to.  We wanted to spend some time making sure they were comfortable with us being around and filming them.

It didn’t take long though and after just 20 minutes they were very keen to get involved.  They began taking over the cameras to photograph and film each other and ask all about the project.

It became clear that in order to make this film powerful and an effective communication tool for the detached team, thorough planning is required.  We want to bring out individual characters as well as give an overall flavour of their work.

For now, we thought we’d share some clips from the night to show how fun it was and give a taster of what’s to come.
